Our NFT and Golf Obsessions Finally Collide

We weren’t expecting anyone in the golfing industry to make big moves in the DAO and NFT space very soon, but low and behold, the Linksdao has launched. “We are building the world's greatest golf & leisure club” is the tagline.

We were sceptical at first as we struggled to find who the team is behind the project, but the community pointed us in the right direction in an instant. With strong leadership and a crazy vision we had to jump in. Call us stupid, but even if this thing crashes, we want to be a part of the first golf DAO.. And now we are.

We managed to pick up the Leisure Membership on mint day. Keeping it conservative, we purchased one - only to wake up a few days later to a 1eth floor. Yes, we’ve declined all offers thus far.

Even though the mint went well, raising $13million at launch and already raising an additional $11million on the secondary market, the team has been quite busy since.

Some highlights include:
- Stephen Curry joins Linksdao
- Partnership with Five Iron Golf

The Linksdao aims to purchase its own golf course - NFT owners will have governing rights in the DAO and owning the NFT will be the only way to purchase a membership at said course. Our guess is that the utility of the project will scale going forward, based on member suggestions and [hopefully] some changes in the SEC’s current regulatory boundaries.

All-in-all, a good purchase. We can now be a part of figuring out how this will actually work, because we’re not completely sure.
